Perjalanan kemarin (Dream land, Japan); Side story.
I remember when I met an old couple back then in Ginza Sta. When I was carrying my super heavy lugage upstair, suddenly my lugage became more lighter, when I looked back, an Ojii-san helped me out while smiling. Then his wife, behind him said “よかったね" smiling also. After the Ojii-san helped me he just walked away left me in stunned. Almost forget to say “ありがとうございました!” I said out loud. They turned back again and smiled.
What a nice couple, I said in my heart. And until now, I never forget the way they looked. An Ojii-san in neat office suit with clean black shoes and his wife in nice broken white dress with flower on her right shoulder carrying a small hand bag.
The wife walked behind him and The husband walked infront leading the way. Reminds me of the bear, when we walked around Tokyo as I said on the older post. He walked so fast, Yappari since he is a Japanese man, they are fast. He lead the way, I followed him with no doubt. In the train, He stood beside me, no, it's more like outside my standing zone making a man fence, separate me from the crowd. And in the public bus, he let me sit in the inside part, then he sit next to me, again blocking me from other people. Every little things that he did, all of them feels like protection. Now you know why I feel safe.
